The Austin Public Library has summer reading programs for both children and adults.  If you complete their summer reading log you get a free book.  For dates and details please visit the APL summer reading program.

Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge

Scholastic kicked off their 2014 Summer Reading Challenge on May 5th and it runs through September 5th.  Students can log reading minutes to help set a new world record for summer reading.  You can also take weekly challenges and earn rewards.  


There is also a place for parents to log in and find free book lists, activities, tips, and log into the reading timer app.
